Christina contacted me about planning newborn photos for baby Elana shortly after Christmas. Elana was actually due Christmas time; however, she was born a month early, and only now was she ready to come to a studio for her first photo session in Maryland.
As a reminder of this beautiful Christmas miracle, Christina chose subtle holiday colors — they all wore cranberry or olive, which looked gorgeous with their complexion! Mom wanted to incorporate some shades of purple – her favorite color – as well as some neutrals.
Beautiful little Elana slept through her entire session, and only opened her eyes to give a little cry when she got hungry in the middle. The big brother Nate was not yet two years old, and needed a bit of convincing to pose with his newborn sister, and we got several poses of the siblings together!
I love how Elana is smiling while Christina is holding her; I always feel so blessed to capture newborn baby smiles! One of my other favorites is the photo where Elana is in the basket with cranberry wool stuffing; she looks so cozy and content in there!
