Vivian was just about 22 weeks pregnant when she contacted me about a newborn photo session. Initially, she had requested a maternity and newborn shoot; however, I currently offer exclusively newborn and baby portraiture. It’s always interesting to me to see how my clients find me, and Vivian follows a wedding photographer in DC, Dotun Ayodeji and the lovely cake master Dirwura, whose newborn I had photographed last year, and loved my work!
We planned the colors, styles, and poses over the next few months, and Vivian got her gorgeous maternity photos taken in Dubai. Finally, I got the email we had been waiting for: Duke made his grand entrance! We finalized the details of the session, and I was so glad that Vivian’s mom, Iffy, was able to come along.
They don’t make grandmothers like they used to, don’t you agree?! When I posted the 3 generation photo of Grandma and Mom holding the baby, several people commented that they were unsure which was the mom and which was the grandmother!
Adorable baby Duke did just what I love in his newborn session: He slept the majority of the time, and also gave us great expressions and eye contact when he was awake. We got a beautiful gallery with a range of funny and serious expressions from this little prince. Enjoy these photos of this cutie!
