As a professional newborn photographer, here is my advice: Do your research! The photographer you choose will be handling your precious baby for a few hours, so you want to make sure that she (I only know one male newborn photographer, and he’s in Australia!) is someone you fully trust. It goes without saying that you will be reviewing the photographer’s portfolio to ascertain that her style matches yours. Take the time to read Google and social media reviews, and feel free to ask for references. The newborn stage passes in the blink of an eye, and this is a unique time where you can never go back and re-do the newborn photos a few weeks later, in case you weren’t satisfied with your portraits.
The newborn baby session featured here is very close to my heart, not only because Mom is a dear friend, but also because she is a returning client! When clients return to my studio with their next baby, it’s a testament that they were thrilled with their prior session. You can see the handsome big brother in these photos as a newborn baby in this post: https://chayabraun.com/baby-boy-cream-gray/
For this baby, Mom requested all gray and white colors, and the results are breathtaking. Baby Daniel was a dream to photograph, and opened his eyes for just a few minutes when we worked together with his big brother. Enjoy these gorgeous photos, and let me know if you have any questions about choosing a newborn photographer!
