Are you searching for a newborn baby photographer in Maryland?
There are several things to keep in mind when you’re seeking someone to create gorgeous artwork of your newborn bundle of joy:
1) Their portfolio. It goes without saying that you’ll want to review the photographer’s portfolio in depth, to make sure that their style matches your own. Colors and props can change, yet posing and lighting is generally consistent when it comes to each photographer’s unique style.
2) Reviews. In this day and age of social media and consumer reviews, it’s essential to make sure that the photographer you’ll be choosing for your baby has positive reviews, both on Google, as well as Facebook. (I’ve linked to mine, so you can easily check them out!)
3) Trust. This is something that is not always easy to explain, since it’s more of a gut feeling than a thing you can measure or quantify. How do you feel about your communications with the prospective photographer? Did she get back to you promptly? Did she take an interest in your family, in the colors and styles you’re seeking?
Once you have decided to book your chosen newborn photographer, it’s best to do so in your second trimester. This will allow plenty of time to communicate any new ideas that come up in your mind, and to plan the poses and colors you desire. Many newborn photographers are booked several months in advance, so don’t wait until the last minute, or your choices will be limited.
Little Juliette’s mom booked her session in advance and requested neutral colors – ivory and beige, along with some feminine pink. Juliette was a darling to photograph, and she was asleep throughout most of the session. When she was swaddled in the little bed, she woke up and made perfect eye contact, and even gave a huge smile! It’s so rare for me to capture a newborn who smiles while awake, so I feel blessed to have captured this photo!
